I took several lessons with Hannah, different types as well from 30min to hr, lesson plans to conversational. I have since gone to Mexico (I’m currently in Irapuato). My Spanish isn’t perfect after a year but I have been able to converse with my fiancé’s family, order from restaurants or stores, ask for directions, and experience Mexican Culture like the Christmas traditions as well as family parties like Quinceañeras.
I really like the model of the 4 week classes as well, They allow learners to dive into specific topic area without committing to a whole "semester." I did the por/para class and learned a lot and the reflexive verb/articles class is also great.

How does Speak Better Spanish work?
You start with a free Roadmap Session, where we look at your level, your goals and what is blocking you. You leave with a plan. From there you take live one-to-one coaching or small group classes on Zoom, with the coach or coaches that fit where you are.
Why does SBS use more than one teacher?
Because real Spanish is not one voice. People speak at different speeds, with different accents, personalities and habits. Practicing with more than one coach helps you adapt, so a new speaker does not throw you.
Do I have to switch teachers?
No one is handed off. Many students build confidence with Hannah first and then add sessions with Arturo or Jacky as a next step. Coaching packages can be used with any SBS coach and for any session type.
What kinds of sessions can I book?
60-minute personalized coaching sessions built around a topic you choose, 30-minute Spanish-only conversation sessions, and small group conversation courses on Zoom with a maximum of 8 students.
How long will it take me to become conversational?
It depends on where you start, how often you practice and what you want to do with your Spanish. We will not promise a timeline. Your Roadmap Session maps your starting point and the path from there.
Do I need to learn Mexican Spanish?
No. The Spanish you learn works wherever Spanish is spoken. SBS teaches with a Mexican focus, so you also learn the expressions, slang and culture you will hear in Mexico.
