Why These Classes Exist

You Understand More Spanish Than You Speak

If you’ve studied Spanish before, you probably recognize this feeling: you can follow along, you know more words than you realize, but when it’s your turn to talk, everything freezes.

Most adult learners don’t need more grammar rules. They need a comfortable place to actually speak. Our small group Spanish conversation classes bridge that gap.

  • Build real speaking confidence
  • Practice consistently, week after week
  • Use Spanish naturally in conversation
  • Communicate in real, everyday situations

What Our Students Say

“Hannah has been an absolute pleasure to work with she is very diligent and a great teacher. I have been trying to learn Spanish for years and I have never had as much success as when I am with her classes are always fun and done very properly. I am excited to continue my journey learning Spanish with Hannah.”Thomas Rice · Google review
“I took several lessons with Hannah, different types as well from 30min to hr, lesson plans to conversational. I have since gone to Mexico (I’m currently in Irapuato). My Spanish isn’t perfect after a year but I have been able to converse with my fiancé’s family, order from restaurants or stores, ask for directions, and experience Mexican Culture like the Christmas traditions as well as family parties like Quinceañeras. I’m very thankful for having a great teacher like Hannah who is able to understand where I struggle or my pronunciations even when they are not perfect. I was recommended to Hannah and would recommend her lessons for anyone wanting to learn Spanish in a comfortable and fun way.”Roger Fraley · Google review
“Hannah is a wonderful Spanish teacher – she is extremely proficient (fluent) and understands cultural nuances. She understands how to teach people, starting from the beginning and gradually layering on more and more information. I have been learning quite a bit of Spanish already just from a few weeks of working with her. I definitely recommend working with Hannah!”Katarina Van Ledtje · Google review
“I was using Duolingo Max for months but Speak Better Spanish was a valuable asset to help me level up learning foreign language. Hannah is the best, easy to work with, fun/funny, engaging, has a very deep understanding of language and always capable of explaining lessons in a multitude of learning channels. She has been a true asset for cross training with apps and digital programs. She is professional and dynamic, 5 stars!”Gabriel Lacktman · Google review

Frequently Asked Questions

What level do I need?

All levels are welcome, including complete beginners. Beginners receive plenty of support, and intermediate learners enjoy stretching into longer conversations. If you’re unsure which class is the best fit, book a free Roadmap Session and we’ll point you in the right direction.

Do I have to speak during class?

You’ll be warmly encouraged to speak, because that’s how confidence grows, but you’ll never be pressured or put on the spot. Your coach guides the conversation so participating feels natural and comfortable.

What if I miss a class?

Life happens! Every live session is recorded, and you’ll receive the recording afterward so you can catch up before the following week.

Do I need to study beforehand?

No – studying before class is completely optional. You’re welcome to simply show up and participate. If you enjoy preparing, you’ll receive all five weeks of materials shortly after registration so you can preview vocabulary and topics ahead of time.

Can I ask questions?

Absolutely – questions are encouraged! Bring your own questions to class, whether they’re about the week’s topic or something you’ve been wondering about for years.

How many students are there?

Classes are capped at 8 students, with a minimum of 3 for the class to run. Small groups mean everyone gets speaking time in every session.

Can I join from another country?

Yes! Our students join from all over the world. Classes are live on Zoom, and every session is recorded in case the time zone doesn’t work perfectly for you.

Will I receive homework?

There’s no required homework. You’ll receive optional study materials, class notes, recordings, and additional practice resources when applicable. Use as much or as little as fits your life.

Why are classes only 30 minutes?

Thirty focused minutes of real conversation, every week, is far more effective for busy adults than long sessions that are hard to sustain. Consistency builds confidence, and short, lively classes are easy to keep showing up for.

What platform do you use?

All classes are held live on Zoom. You’ll receive the Zoom link and everything you need within one business day of registering.
