I have been taking lessons with Speak Better Spanish and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. All three of my teachers, Hannah, Arturo, and Jacky are excellent and bringing their own style to our lessons, I recommend anyone of the instructors to anybody who is serious about improving their learning

Jacky was so helpful & kind! She made it clear we could ask questions or help at any moment, and she made fun conversations that really helped stretch my learning. Our class was small and it was helpful hearing the other student speak Spanish and made me feel comfortable knowing we were both learning together.

Hannah has been an absolute pleasure to work with she is very diligent and a great teacher. I have been trying to learn Spanish for years and I have never had as much success as when I am with her classes are always fun and done very properly. I am excited to continue my journey learning Spanish with Hannah.

This is the best way to learn Spanish- to practice it with another person. My teacher sends a list of words or phrases I had trouble with during our convo, and I study those. I also am learning some grammar, which is harder to get in apps like Duolingo. Hannah and Michael are patient teachers. They speak slowly so I can understand them. It's easy to make an appointment online. I highly recommend this immersive way to become fluent in Spanish.

I had a month of wonderful classes with Hannah and Michael. They made the classes fun and easy to digest, with very clear instructions and follow along hand-outs. I was using Duolingo Max for months but Speak Better Spanish was a valuable asset to help me level up learning foreign language. Hannah is the best, easy to work with, fun/funny, engaging, has a very deep understanding of language and always capable of explaining lessons in a multitude of learning channels. She has been a true asset for cross training with apps and digital programs. She is professional and dynamic, 5 stars!

Hannah is a wonderful Spanish teacher – she is extremely proficient (fluent) and understands cultural nuances. She understands how to teach people, starting from the beginning and gradually layering on more and more information. I have been learning quite a bit of Spanish already just from a few weeks of working with her. I definitely recommend working with Hannah!

I started working with Hannah on Jan 8th 2020. The years I have been working with Hannah have been fun as we improve my Spanish. It is a laid back environment while also pushing you. I participate in both hour Grammar classes and 30 minute conversations. She has added two new members to her team recently, Jacky and Micheal. They also have been fun to work with and get to know as they help me learn how to have real life conversations in Spanish. Highly recommend weather you just want to learn basic Spanish for travel or if your goal is fluency.

This is by far the BEST online ( or non-online) Spanish learning course I have experienced. Hannah,being a fluent non-native Spanish speaker, understands the trials and tribulations of learning Spanish as she has experienced them herself during her journey to master Spanish. So her approach to teaching Spanish is kind and gentle while ensuring that the basic tenets of the language are instilled in the student. The fact that she is willing to converse in English, when needed, is comforting to students at a beginner level. After the lessons, she emails detailed notes,recordings of the session as well as links to websites. She also teaches at a pace within the comfort level of the student, is very patient and does not mind repeating lessons to ensure the student acquires proficiency in the lesson. The student gets text and email reminders for the forthcoming session.Overall, I highly recommend Speak Better Spanish with Hannah. The BEST online program for Spanish learners of all levels -beginners to advanced !

I've had several tutors over the last two years and I feel I've gained the most from Hannah. I'm making steady progress without the frustration I've had with other tutors. Hannah listens to what I'm trying to accomplish and tailors her lessons specifically to me. Learning another language can be very frustrating; it's important to find the right tutor so that you don't give up on your goals. Hannah is that person for me….I hope you will find the same.

Hannah is excellent! She is patient, encouraging, positive, and delightful. I find she is able to tailor teaching to my needs even on bad days. I have memories of being called on in my French class in junior high school and looking at the teacher with a blank stare even after taking 2 years of college spanish. Hannah is helping me overcome the fear of making mistakes and feeling like a toddler. She is able to explain nuances ofgrammer in detail for those who are interested in linguistics but can also explain things in a simple and practical manner. Finally, she is genuinely interested in her students and that comes across loud and clear.

I enjoy working with Hannah. She adapts my learning plan according to my progress. Our interesting conversations in Spanish keep me motivated towards my goal of fluency. Apps are a great complement to our work, but there is no substitution for engaging one-on-one teaching and conversation. If you feel stuck with your progress, or with your confidence, I’d highly recommend working with her.

It is great having Hannah as an instructor because she is able to do what native spanish speakers aren't: she is answers the question – Why? It can be confusing and frustrating learning spanish but Hannah has helped to make sense of it. Thanks Hannah!

I took several lessons with Hannah, different types as well from 30min to hr, lesson plans to conversational. I have since gone to Mexico (I’m currently in Irapuato). My Spanish isn’t perfect after a year but I have been able to converse with my fiancé’s family, order from restaurants or stores, ask for directions, and experience Mexican Culture like the Christmas traditions as well as family parties like Quinceañeras. I’m very thankful for having a great teacher like Hannah who is able to understand where I struggle or my pronunciations even when they are not perfect. I was recommended to Hannah and would recommend her lessons for anyone wanting to learn Spanish in a comfortable and fun way.

I’m in my 60s, and have always wanted to learn Spanish. I really like the model of the 4 week classes as well, They allow learners to dive into specific topic area without committing to a whole "semester." I did the por/para class and learned a lot and the reflexive verb/articles class is also great. Hannah does a great job of teaching the class in a way that anyone from a beginner thru an advanced student can get something out of it. I am not sure what the next 4 week class will be but I recommend taking it.

After hearing about the Immersion trip to Dominican Republic, i decided to sign up for 6 months of lessons. Hannah is approachable and knowledgable as she customizes my lessons. Her flexibility-with-structure is a big asset to the online learning method. My pace and my topics but with unlimited support from a great teacher. I was lucky to be a part of Hannah's first Spanish Immersion trip to the Dominican Republic and we all had a blast. She's a great trip planner, translator (as needed), and human being.

Hannah has been awesome to work with! I work with two other instructors who are Colombian. The thing I really appreciate about working with Hannah is that not only is she a great (and patient) Spanish teacher, she also can better explain and translate the differences in American and Spanish cultures. This helps me to understand why some things in the Spanish culture are what they are, which, in turn, helps me to better understand the language itself. I highly recommend Hannah!

Yesterday I had a great opportunity to spend some time with both Hannah and Dominique just speaking Spanish. It was fun, as well as simply hearing other people speak Spanish, and making ye olde brain work at understanding and responding (hopefully appropriately) – I assume I accomplished that because no one cringed! You should jump at the chance to work with Hannah to assist your Spanish learning!!
