To talk about your favorite music in Spanish, say mi música favorita es el pop or mi cantante favorito es… Ask ¿Qué música te gusta? to start the conversation. Genres keep their names in Spanish, like el rock, el reguetón and la salsa, and a song is una canción.

MANUEL: ¿Y cuál era tu artista o banda favorita?

RICKY: ¿En serio?

RICKY: ¿Y a ti qué música te gusta?
