Enrich your Spanish travel vocabulary with a virtual tour of Venezuela: my friend, Mariela, will talk in Spanish about her home country in Latin America. This is a prime opportunity to learn new Spanish travel phrases and words—I made a list of useful Spanish travel phrases for you—and some Venezuelan slang words. Let’s dig right into it!

Venezuela travel guide

Venezuela is a country on the northern coast of South America; a land of natural beauty, Andean peaks, rainforests, vibrant cities, and idyllic Caribbean islands. Although the political situation doesn’t make it the perfect travel destination at the moment, it’s still worth knowing about the Venezuelan attractions, language, and get some travel ideas (for the future.) Add some essential medical Spanish vocabulary and Venezuelan slang to the mix, and you’re almost good to go.

What to see in Venezuela

If you’re into history, stunning views, and hiking, Mount Roraima, which looks like a tabletop mountain, should be on your list. Furthermore, Venezuela has the highest uninterrupted waterfall in the world: Angel Falls. It’s a must-see! If you’re more of a beach lover type of person, you have to explore the Caribbean islands, mainly the Los Roques archipelago. The archipelago consists of over 300 islands, cays and islets— all ready to be explored. It’s as close to paradise as you can get.
